Bonfire Night 2026: two organised displays near Hanwell, and the fireworks rules
Trailfinders Sports Club in West Ealing holds its fireworks display on Thursday 5 November, and Ealing Cricket Club holds one on Saturday 7 November. If you set off your own, the legal cut-off on Bonfire Night is midnight.
If you would rather watch fireworks than set them off, there are two organised displays a short trip from Hanwell this week. Both are run by local sports clubs, not by Ealing Council, and both are ticketed.
Thursday 5 November: Trailfinders Sports Club, Vallis Way, West Ealing W13 0DD. The club says gates open at 5:30pm and the display is at 7.30pm. It asks people to come by public transport, and lists the E2, E7, E9, E10 and 297 buses. Under 16s must be with an adult.
Saturday 7 November: Ealing Cricket Club's Festival of Fire & Light, Corfton Road, Ealing W5 2HS. The club says gates open at 6pm, with a children's lantern parade from 6pm and fireworks at 7:45pm. It is a short walk from Ealing Broadway and North Ealing stations.
Ticket prices and booking are on each club's own page, linked below.
If you are setting off fireworks at home, GOV.UK says it is against the law to set them off between 11pm and 7am, but on Bonfire Night the cut-off is midnight. You must not set off or throw fireworks, including sparklers, in the street or other public places. You cannot buy adult fireworks if you are under 18, and registered sellers can only sell them for private use from 15 October to 10 November (plus a few other set dates).
Breaking these rules can lead to an on-the-spot fine of £90, according to GOV.UK, and more serious cases can mean an unlimited fine or up to six months in prison.
